Thanks for that. Can't believe I missed that one!

That is really interesting about the architecture. Do many western architects take Feng Shui into account?

Nice! I want one now :-) There's a lot to fish keeping successfully that this post obviously can't go into, but for the sake of your fish, you should probably do water changes on them at least once a month. The reason is that you get a lot of waste built up in the water and this becomes toxic to the fish. Goldfish are VERY dirty fish, so once a month, I'd take out about 30% of your water and replace it with fresh that's sat out a few days for the chlorine reason. Your fish will live much longer this way, I think I remember reading that goldfish can actually live for 15 years! Yikes. Also goldfish are vegetarians, so they may munch on your plants a bit, so if they start looking sad, that's probably one of the reasons, the fish are munching the roots. Also fish don't need to eat alot, and many people overfeed, the more you feed, the dirtier your water gets.

Anyway, good luck with your fish! I might undertake a similar endeavor soon, we have a reef tank in the house, but this looks like fun! Of course, its just one more thing to take care of when we go out of town...

You might want to spell check your headings: "3. Add some pants" ;-) Not sure ponds need pants really!

You mention Possums, are you in Australia? Hope you have a lovely hot Christmas if so!

I studied a little Feng Shui from an architectural point of view when I was at university. A lot of the more traditional key moves make sense intuitively and relate well to the physical location. Particularly orientation and the like, which are most often complimentary to the western science-based approach used in most eco-architecture.

I was cynically skimming the post in my feed reader looking for the link that makes you money, thinking "okay.. where is it.. I know it is here somewhere.." lol. But, I could not find it.. because it was not there. Bump!
