Melissa - thanks for the book link. It looks interesting.

Tejvan - Exactly - if we spend all day at work we should at least make it meaningful.

Wow! I love these tips. I was struggling more with my boss more than anything else. I came across a self help book on Dealing With Divas, in the work place. So far it has helped me tremendously. I believe that by combining your tips with this book, I'll continue to enjoy myself.
Thanks!

Guys I think you are both spot on - unless you recognise that you as an individual have a lot to do with the situation no outer circumstances are ever going to be perfect.

Great photo of the car and truck.

Sometimes we get bored or irritated with our job because of some little thing when it's really our fault. Maybe we've given up (I know I've been there) or it's a bad boss (I've been there too). Whatever it is that's bothering you, it's up to you to figure out a solution otherwise work becomes one big wheel of torture. (I've been there many times.)

Again JB you are motivating all us everyday with your blogs. Keep it up!

I concur with all above points though I have found out that passion is the drive to everything! At the end of day, we are here to survive and earn money but at the same time one has to find that part of their work or life or interest they are passionate about. Once we find that part then we can connect to the big picture. For instance, I have experience in consulting and financial of projects but at the same time there is one passion i.e. working with the poor in developing countries that rewards me. I know I can't be satisfied if I apply to Goldman's Sachs earning $$$. So I am searching for opportunties with international development institutions like the UN. In a way, I have combined my education and experience with the other part of 'me' -- the passion.

I think it is a mixture of outside and inside forces. Here the outside force is the education and experience and inside force is the passion or enthuasism or anything you desire but it is part that you hold deeply. Mind you, this inside force you can't acquire it but you have to search for it. How? Where there is a will there is a way...
