Using Panic Attacks as Meditation

I want to show you a video by one of my buddhist teachers, Mingyur Rinpoche.

Rinpoche is a very high lama of the Tibetan Kagyu tradition; he has spent over ten years in isolated meditation retreat working with his mind. He is known worldwide as a great meditation master and has been recognized by the Dalai Lama as one of buddhism’s best teachers. I have spent some time with Rinpoche in India recieving teachings from him and I can attest to the fact that this man has something special going on. His presence is quite remarkable and he is funny, loud and very loving.

In this video he talks about how he used to be affected by panic attacks. He explains how to use these panic attacks as part of your meditation. Anyone who has read my ebook will have already seen this video but for the rest of you, enjoy!

I haven’t read your ebook yet (shame on me, I said I would months ago when I downloaded it), but I remember watching this video. I love it. What a joyful heart! Such a triumph!

Brice – he is a great man. If he is ever teaching near your town get along. He often visits America, England and Malaysia and he resides in India.

Thank you for the info. Lots of migraine people do have anxiety, panic attacks, etc. We need to deal with it somehow…

Lucky you, actually meeting someone like that in person and being able to learn from him. Well, I suppose, the video is the next best thing :P .

I would love to be able to learn from him he seems to have a lot of knowledge and wisdom. Anything to help control panic attacks without medicine is a great thing.
Thanks for sharing this with everyone.

I love this topic – very interesting…

Because I have always felt that meditation is a great way to naturally cure panic attacks…

Anxiety-Panic attacks are all in your mind, so you need to learn to develop mind strength through meditation….

Great information for all anxiety sufferers…

I’m such a firm believer in meditation and breathing exercises…

Not only for the cure of panic-anxiety but just in my everyday life, and I truly believe that meditation is a very necessary skill for everyone to learn…

Because there’s nothing more refreshing than to listen to your favorite meditation cd or mp3, and let it just take you away to that place you would just love to be…

Great post keep it coming…
