“Generosity is the most natural outward expression of an inner attitude of compassion and loving-kindness.”
– Dalai Lama XIV
Here at The Daily Mind, we talk about loving-kindness, generosity, and compassion a lot. These are, after all, integral to our purpose: to find meaning amidst the daily grind.
However, all our talk won’t mean anything if we take no action, and today, we’re sharing an opportunity for you to do something concrete and impact other people’s lives.
Meet Caren Racoma, a mother of five. Her family has had its share of trials, including losing a child to SIDS in 2007. At the beginning of this year, they were met with yet another challenge when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
As you can imagine, raising a family is no mean feat…add having to deal with breast cancer (with a 6-month-old baby to breastfeed!).
As such, we would like to share their fundraising campaign with you. You may not know anything about Caren and her family, but you don’t have to in order to help. Real giving is not about knowing who receives. It’s about the giver willingly sharing what they have to those in need, without expecting anything in return.
Today, why don’t we do something in the real world? Something for people who need real help?
Get to know the Racoma family and their story more, and help Caren fight breast cancer. If you can’t help financially, spreading the word will mean a lot. Every little bit helps!Contribute to Caren's Cancer War Chest and Help a Mom Fight Breast Cancer Click To Tweet
